Despite decades of progress in closing the equality gap between men and women, we continue to live in a world where women and girls face widespread gender inequality every day, throughout their lives, and in all areas of our society – from education to employment, finance, health, media, politics, etc.

And to make matters worse, there is also plenty of evidence showing that women have been disproportionally impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

So, what actions need to be taken to achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal of gender equality by 2030, and eliminate the many root causes of discrimination that still curtail women’s rights and opportunities today?

In this second edition of our journal, PUBLIC, our policy experts from across the world highlight the vital role research plays in both identifying these complex gender gaps and supporting gender-balanced solutions.

Click on the image below to read their perspectives on the challenges and opportunities for public policy to confront these inequalities and create a fairer, better society.

As well as demonstrating the trust which our clients and partners place in Kantar to help them build the public realm and make a wider contribution in society, this journal illustrates our organisation’s culture of inclusion and diversity.
