Redefining the Menopause

Menopause isn’t a new issue but it is an increasingly important topic as brands, politicians, celebrities and influencers are driving the conversation to the top of the agenda.

The conversation is evolving but there is still work to be done which is where our expertise can help brands navigate this space. We partnered with menopause support provider Over the Bloody Moon to help better understand women transitioning through the menopause and identify the opportunities for brands.  

Speaking to 1,000 perimenopausal and menopausal women aged between 30 and 65, we have found that two thirds of women experiencing the menopause or perimenopause feel that brands aren’t doing enough to support them, while 76% don’t feel represented at all by brands’ advertising and marketing.  We also uncovered that the most common menopausal symptoms were related to negative impacts on feelings and mood (67%) and self-confidence (59%).  Through aspirational advertising, brands have an opportunity to address this lack of self-confidence through the advertising, communications and the products and services they offer.
