Out-of-home value sales for 18 of the top 10 beverages brands and top 10 snacking brands declined in 2020; but 2021 paints a more positive picture, with just 10 declining and eight seeing growth.

Comparing consumer reach points (CRPs), the beverages category as a whole lost 17% of its OOH CRPs in 2020. This slowed in 2021, with a decline of just 2%. Similarly, in snacking, brands lost 5% of their total OOH CRPs in 2020, slowing to 1% in 2021.
