Client Support Manager, United States of America
We’ve spent some time recently chatting to Jennifer, one of our Client Support Managers. A vegetable garden curator and mother of two, she told us about the global nature of her role, and how she really feels part of the Kantar Marketplace team.
How do you start your working day?
I work from my home office so I start my day by grabbing a nice, big cup of coffee and saying hi to my colleagues on Teams.
My team provides world class service and support for Kantar Marketplace clients (both internal and external). We’re all over the world, so I overlap with some of my teammates in the UK as well as the US, and we get to connect in my morning before they head out for their evenings. I spend some time going through emails and my to-do list, and then I dive into my projects for the day. While we all work to support clients, we each have our own unique projects and tasks that we work on, so in between supporting customers, I work on my projects and connect with collaborators. I wrap up by connecting with my colleague in Australia as she starts her day. Of course, as a working mom, I get to see my kids when they come home from school and take a little break to see how their day went.
I feel like the work my team does really adds value to Kantar Marketplace as a whole. I feel like I’m accomplishing something and contributing to making the platform successful.
What’s the most interesting project you’ve worked on?
One of my favorite projects so far has been developing learning bites that can be used internally, or shared to clients to help them understand our self-serve solutions. From design to development and everything in between, I was able to see the vision come to life and be used as learnings for what Marketplace has to offer.
Why did you choose to work at Kantar and on the Marketplace team?
At first, I was drawn to the fact that Kantar was one of the premier Market Research companies, so I knew I would be getting off to a good start in my career. I’ve now been here going on 20 years!
I’ve been with Kantar Marketplace for the past two years and was drawn to the innovation of what we do. We’re leading the way in streamlining how clients can run projects and get results in the speed they desire - I am excited to be part of that journey.

Do you feel supported and part of a team?
While COVID restrictions have limited in-person contact in local offices, we are a global team and we do a great job connecting without being able to meet in person. We work in a true team environment where everyone collaborates, supports each other, and strives to make our team stronger and more effective. We have virtual events where we can connect outside of work stuff and learn about each other.
Our leaders are transparent and accessible and make sure that we are aware of the direction of the company and how our contributions affect and support that. I also feel like our leaders are very supportive of work/life balance and provide flexibility whenever possible. Me and my team’s contributions are recognized and truly appreciated and that really motivates me on a daily basis. We are also encouraged to take care of ourselves through health and wellness resources and benefits.
