New Orleans, May 21, 2019: Kantar, the world's leading data, insights and consulting company, today announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Komodo Health to develop new and creative solutions for linking clinical encounter and patient reported outcomes (PRO) data. The collaboration with Komodo Health will provide data-driven artificial intelligence (AI) tools to top life science companies to reduce the burden of disease and improve patient outcomes, and supports Kantar's new ClaritisTM offer, which for the first time ever successfully links PRO and clinical data to deliver a solution currently not available within the industry.
"Through its rich clinical encounter data, Komodo Health has assembled an impressive, comprehensive picture of patient journeys across the U.S. healthcare system," said Jeremy Brody, Chief Strategy Officer for the Health Division of Kantar. "Its Healthcare Map links over 150 payer-complete datasets, providing real-time and longitudinal data on more than 300 million U.S. patients. This partnership will enhance our breakthrough Claritis offering and deliver major advancements in evidence generation for real world research."
Claritis supports a host of decision-making scenarios, including: providing payer agencies with the required evidence to support reimbursement decisions, supporting regulatory bodies that require evidence of real-world safety and effectiveness, and generating critical information that's used by other healthcare stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, patients and caregivers. Kantar's Claritis offers a HIPAA-certified approach for linking de-identified clinical data with de-identified survey data, highly accurate probabilistic matching, and linking software validated at error rates less than industry standards.
Komodo Health’s AI platform cross-links patient journey data with other medical and healthcare datasets to extract new insights and deliver predictive analytics. It’s industry-leading Healthcare Map connects over 50 billion clinical encounters in a de-identified and compliant way, and is used to better understand disease burden, identify patient cohorts of interest, predict disease progression and improve standards of care.
"Komodo Health has visibility into the full patient journeys of more than 300 million patients across all therapeutic areas and geographies in the United States," said Aswin Chandrakantan, M.D., Head of Product and Chief Medical Officer at Komodo Health. "We’re excited to partner with Kantar to apply our deep patient insights to improve health outcomes and reduce the burden of disease.”
