We have launched Algeria’s first-ever Worldpanel Pulse consumer panel. This new initiative will provide detailed, up-to-date insights into the real purchasing behaviours of Algerian households across 34 key FMCG categories, including food, beverages, dairy, personal care and home care. The first dataset will be available in July 2025.

The Algeria panel operates on the pulse model and has two data collection waves per year to ensure both consistency and robustness in data collection.

Clients will receive comprehensive brand performance reports, including metrics on value, volume, penetration, purchase frequency and average price, segmented across demographics and retail channels. Category overviews will help clients understand who is buying what, through which channels, and how their brand compares with competitors. Detailed reporting by product, product range and retailer will enable in-depth analysis, supported by our expert team of shopper analysts.

The panel comprises 1,000 households across 35 locations in three key regions of the country. In the west, coverage includes Oran and Tlemcen; in the centre, Algiers, Blida, and Tizi Ouzou; and in the east, Constantine and Setif. The panel spans both urban and semi-urban populations, allowing for rich segmentation by demographics, region, and household type.

Algeria presents enormous potential, with a growing population, strong regional diversity and a transforming retail landscape. The Worldpanel Pulse panel offers brands and retailers an evidence-based foundation for making informed decisions, responding to local needs and gaining competitive advantage. This investment marks a significant milestone in Worldpanel’s ambition to provide the most comprehensive consumer insight network across Africa and the Middle East.

The launch of Worldpanel Pulse in Algeria expands our presence in the region, following recent entries into Uganda and other African and Middle Eastern markets. With existing panels in countries such as Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Morocco, Kenya, Ethiopia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, this latest launch reinforces the company’s position as the leading insights provider in the region. Next pulse panel is planned for Iraq, as part of Worldpanel’s strategy to meet the rising demand for robust, localised consumer data.
